Abstract

Since late 2013, Japan has been experiencing a rise in measles cases. This increase appears to be associated with a measles outbreak in the Philippines, which subsequently led to importations and onward transmissions within Japan. We report on the preliminarily findings, concerns and challenges, and the actions needed.
