The initiative to establish a systematic monitoring and evaluation (M&E) scheme for Indonesia’s Early Warning Alert and Response System began in 2024, with the development of guidelines and online tools through pilot activities. This can contribute to capacity-building in other countries, providing practical insights for structuring surveillance M&E systems.
